Last week we flew out to Chicago Illinois for a special one night exclusive event at Jugrnaut Shop where we teamed up with Earl Bennett from the Chicago Bears to help raise money for underprivileged children over at BUILD.BUILD is an amazing charity that has worked in some of Chicago’s toughest neighborhoods giving at-risk youth alternatives to the violence that takes away their positive potential. So IMKING and Earl decided to get involved by collaborating on a limited t-shirt, which was made exclusively for the event. The Earl Bennett x IMKING t-shirt was released the night of the event and was a huge hit with the fans so all the money raised was donated to BUILD. For all those who supported the event got the chance to get autographed memorabilia and pictures taken with not only Earl Bennett, but with some of his teammates who showed as special guests. In addition to everything, Earl raffled off 4 game tickets and 2 field passes for all those who donated to the cause. Special S/O to everyone that was involved in making the event successful.

Last week Anthony, Lee and I headed out to Chicago for a special event we put together with Earl Bennett of the Chicago Bears. Now me and Anthony had never been here before so we weren’t to sure on what to expect, the only thing i heard from friends was that it’s nothing Like New York and definitely nothing close to good old California. As soon as we landed and got our bags it started raining, just our luck huh? You also ask why post this random picture of this bus stop, well, not only was it raining, but this was where we had to wait another 45 minutes for our shuttle to the rental car to show up.
none the less, we finally got our rental car and the weather started to clear up a bit so we decided to take the scenic route to Akin, one of the premier Nike retailers out there. Note: Whenever Lee got lost in Chicago, he considered it a favor to us because he wanted to make sure we got to see the WHOLE city, especially the same place 7 times.
The architecture in the city was breath taking and i found myself stopping at almost every corner to take a picture of something.
Our arrival at Akin……..
Where we were greeted by the Black Knight.
AND this beautiful Stockroom full of shoes. ( this was only a quarter of what they had on ONE side )
Thanks again to the whole crew over at Akin for all of your hospitality. Now, lights out until day 2. Good night.
