We will be introducing a new segment to our blog where we will be featuring cars from different cities that we believe display Raw Talent in their rides. We started off with Royal Origin’s Shavi Wijegunaratne. Shavi went from a hand me down 2003 Blue Honda Accord to his current ride, a 2009 True Red Mazdaspeed3. Everyone’s gotta be part of a car crew right? He is currently part of LowBallers, who originate out of Las Vegas, Nevada. They are a propelling force in the car scene and are the type of individuals that bring people together to chill and have a good time.
We asked Shavi if he could ever be satisfied with the look of his car and he replied with the obvious, NO! He said that he could never be satisfied because there will always be something to make his car better. Since car parts and modifications are a bit pricy, Shavi has found different ways to make altercations to his car without burning a hole in his pocket.
Next, we asked him to tell us an interesting story that involved him and his car. He replied with, “The most interesting story would be when my car was arriving the day before for the Slammed Society Show Case at Formula D: Long Beach, and my car got stuck on one of the cable protectors leading into the show case area. Also, that same day was when I broke my oil pan for the first time. And so, out of all the cars that entered that day, I was the only one that got really stuck. As I was trying to get unstuck from this very low pro cable protector, I stretched some of the fiber optic and live feed wires for the event. We ended up having to use wood that I always carry around to plank my car out of it. In the end the damage from getting stuck and stretching the wires was about 30,000 dollars worth. But, it was nothing I had to pay for myself, and rather they were just mad of course.”
He believes the most RAW thing about his car would have to be his crazy camber along with his aggressive stance.
S/O to Royal Origin, LowBallers, Shavi and Jeff Payuan for shooting the photos for us.
